Scottish Surfing

Positively impacting lives since 1975.

The National Governing Body for all disciplines of Surfing in Scotland

Founded in 1975, Scottish Surfing (SSF) has supported and represented the interests of the Scottish surfing community for almost 50 years. As an affiliate of the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the European Surfing Federation, the SSF plays a crucial role in promoting the sport on both a national and international level.

We oversee participation, progression and performance across all of our disciplines, from shortboarding to stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). As a registered charity, we also play a wider role in promoting water safety, improving conditions of life and in protecting our natural environment.

Our purpose is clear: to positively impact lives through the sport of surfing and act as an advocate for our exceptional natural environments across Scotland.

Events / Competitions

Scottish Surfing host and sanction a range of events and competitions that provide opportunities to participate and progress in our sport across a range of disciplines.

From local grassroots come-and-try events to our National Championships, these events offer surfers and paddleboarders of all levels the opportunity to come together as a community.
