North Shore Surf Club members enjoyed an unforgettable weekend of surfing, camping and community as surfers of all ages came together at Farr for a club camping trip.
With tents, campervans and surfboards filling Craigdhu Campsite, the weekend brought together members, coaches, volunteers and families for a trip packed with waves, adventure and plenty of fun on and off the beach.
The first surf session challenged everyone with gnarly conditions, but that didn’t stop the group from getting in the water. As the day went on, the weather improved, allowing members to enjoy more surfing alongside campsite games and a treasure hunt that kept everyone entertained.
As the sun came out, everyone gathered back at camp for a fantastic evening of food and friendship. A barbecue, firepit, toasted marshmallows and fireworks rounded off the day, while many of the club’s younger members experienced camping for the very first time.
The next morning, there was time for one final surf before everyone packed up and headed home after a hugely successful weekend – and hopefully the first of many.
